A massive bull elephant that terrorized villages across Zimbabwe, striking at night and slipping back into the brush before anyone ever saw him clearly. Wildlife officials eventually brought him down late last year, and we secured a panel from this giant. Then it vanished into a different kind of wilderness: nearly 10 months stuck in customs while CITES inspectors combed through every detail.
